Progressive Agriculture Foundation® Receives Contribution from Honda to Address Traffic Safety

[Birmingham, Ala., August 4, 2025] – The Progressive Agriculture Foundation® (PAF) has received a $50,000 contribution from Honda to support its “Rural Road Ready” initiative and further its mission to provide education, training, and resources to make farm, ranch, and rural life safer and healthier for all children, their families, and their communities.

The funding will be used to enhance safety programming and address pressing issues—specifically ATV/UTV, tractor, farm equipment, roadway, railroad, and bicycle safety—through the Foundation’s flagship program, Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® (PAF Safety Days).

“This contribution will enable the Progressive Agriculture Foundation to strengthen our programming, expand our reach, and ultimately keep more children safe,” said Brian Kuhl, President and CEO of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation. “Honda’s partnership helps us not only teach youth how to stay safe but also measure and improve the long-term impact of our efforts.”

The contribution will support a range of initiatives, including:

  • Covering training fees for coordinators who implement safety-related curricula at local PAF Safety Day events

  • Supporting travel for PAF staff to conduct on-site surveys and participant interviews, providing valuable insight into how programming is received and applied

  • Enabling staff to attend regional safety conferences in targeted growth areas such as Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas

  • Developing pre- and post-event surveys to assess knowledge gained and behavior changes over time

  • Updating and enhancing safety curricula to reflect current and locally relevant traffic safety guidelines and best practices, ensuring content remains accurate, impactful, and engaging

  • Investing in the sustained growth and development of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation, allowing for broader reach and deeper impact in the years to come
